The procession taken out by the Jhang District Bar Association members, to press their demand for the transfer of the Jhang District Police Officer, turned violent, as the lawyers, in a bid force their way in to the DPOs office, attacked police personall, posted out side the office on Guard duty. According to the details, the DBA Jhang, members who are on a one and half month long strike, boycotting the courts to press their demand for the transfer of Jhang DPO Mr.
Farooq Mazhar Khan, took out a procession, after holding an emergency meeting in the Bar Room. The precisionists who were about 1 hundred in number marched towards the DPOs office, shouting highly provocative and abuses slogans against the police and the DPO. The protesters crossed the outer gate of the office without much inconvenience but as they tried to enter the main gate of the office they were stopped by a heavy contingent of police. The lawyers staged a sit in from of the main gate for a few minutes but later some of them became violent and attacked the police man positioned out side the office main gate with sticks and hatchets. The policemen showing exemplary restraint, did no retaliate and only defended themselves. In the meantime, some of the protesters smashed the signboards of the office and caused some damage to the police armored car parked just out side the office. The protesters dispersed after half and hour and their way back attacked the prison van returning to District Jail Jhang after producing the under trials in the district courts.  They are also reports of some police officials sustaining minor injuries during the incident. The lawyers started their strike one and half month ago when police station sadder jhang police refused to register a theft case on the complaint of a senior Bar Member and ex president, Mahar Muhammad Afzal Sargana. But later after, some delay case was registered and the accused were arrested.
