Rain water coupled with the stink and polluted water of the broken sewerage system as entered into the hoses of Jallalabad locality of Jhang Saddar, due to the alleged apathy negligence and indifference of the Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA). The area as completely submerged into four to five deep water, after the recent monsoon spell of rains, making it virtually impossible for the inhabitance of the area to enter or exit from their houses.
Even the streets of the area are presenting the picture of a stream with gushing water flowing with no signs of its being pumped out by the unconcerned authorities. Jallalabad is an urban locality of some one thousands house holds situated in the heart of Jhang municipality. Falling in the precincts of Union Council no 87, the sewerage system of the area has completely broken down resulting in the sting sewerage water entering the streets and the houses. The situation has been further aggravated with the advent of monsoon season. The government had announced an amount of 45 million rupees for the improvement of sewerage system in this area. But the corrupt and inefficient TMA authorities failed the utilize this amount, compounding the problem even further administrator TMA Jhang, Mr. Khawaja Sohail was unavailable to comment on the situation when this scribe tried to contact him.
